We were involved with The Harlyn from the early stages of the project, working closely with the owners to source an eclectic collection of vintage furniture, lighting, artwork, decorative pieces and reclaimed materials for use throughout the development.
Central to the brief was a desire to create spaces with genuine character and individuality, while embracing a more sustainable approach to interiors. Rather than relying on newly manufactured pieces, we searched for original vintage and reclaimed items that could bring a sense of history, warmth and personality to the newly created spaces.
Our sourcing ranged from tables, cabinets, stools and vintage haberdashery counters through to lighting, artwork and decorative objects, including vintage display cases, old boats, oars and nautical pieces. Each was carefully selected with The Harlyn’s aesthetic and its North Cornwall setting in mind.
We also sourced reclaimed materials for use within bespoke elements of the project, looking beyond their original purpose to consider how they could be sensitively restored, adapted or repurposed.
The result is a collection that feels gathered rather than prescribed. Vintage, industrial, rustic and mid-century influences sit comfortably alongside one another, helping to give the spaces a sense of history and character while retaining the relaxed, informal feel at the heart of The Harlyn.
