What makes us different?
At Mustard Vintage we don’t just buy and sell on like other dealers, we hand source each piece and bring it back to our workshop where it is lovingly restored. With two decades of experience, we know the right techniques to use to breathe new life into old pieces.
The end result is quality vintage furniture that retains its much loved character and soul. Each piece tells a story, and will help transform your house into a uniquely curated home.
The Beauty of Buying Vintage
Vintage furniture was made to last, with quality craftsmanship and timeless design. The fact that so many pieces have survived is testament to their enduring quality.
Around 670,000 tonnes of furniture enters UK bulky waste each year, yet almost half is considered reusable.*
Choosing vintage gives beautiful original pieces a second life, reducing waste while bringing character, craftsmanship and individuality into your home.
Buy vintage. Furnish consciously. Choose pieces with a past — and a future.

The story behind Mustard Vintage
Back in 2005, while furnishing our first home together, we discovered how carefully chosen vintage pieces could create interiors that felt personal, unique and full of character. We fell in love with the process of restoring old furniture and giving each piece a new lease of life.
We soon became hooked on finding vintage pieces and began selling a few on eBay to make space at home. It didn’t take long to realise we weren’t alone in our love of vintage — people valued the pieces we found and the care we put into restoring them.
A few years later, we took the plunge, left our careers in marketing and graphic design behind, and turned our passion into a family business. And so, Mustard Vintage was born.
Today, Mustard Vintage is an established and respected furniture, homeware and interiors studio, with sustainability at the heart of everything we do.

Our restoration process...
We restore each piece while preserving its original character and charm, but also ensure it's ready for modern day living.
Preparation
We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
Restoration
With over 20 years of experience, we know that the right restoration techniques can make all the difference. It’s a delicate process that takes patience, skill and attention to detail — one we’ve taken the time to perfect. Each piece is carefully and sensitively restored, preserving its original character and charm while giving it a new lease of life.
Finishing
Finally, we add the finishing touches — whether that’s painting, oiling or sealing, fitting new handles, hinges or catches, or simply giving the piece a final clean and polish. We make sure every piece is ready for modern living, giving it a new lease of life and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to be loved for generations to come.
Projects
