A stunning and scarcely seen, fully restored 'Rex 120' Plywood Chair designed by designer and architect Niko Kralj for Stol Kamnik (Slovenia) in the 1953.
An iconic piece of Mid Century design, the chair sits proud in the Museum of Modern Art MOMA in New York City. It was also given permanent place in Design museum Denmark, the largest museum of design in Scandinavia
Featuring beautiful design details such as the slatted back and seat, striking angled legs and ergonomic molded seat and back making the chair surprisingly comfortable.
Constructed using beech plywood which has been molded by way of steam bending, a complex method which was way ahead of its time.
The framework has been fully restored and re-finished, all joints have been checked and strengthened if required. There may be some minor polished in marks to the framework as to be expected for their age.
