A very stylish and scarcely seen 1950's modernist dressing table designed by architect couple John & Sylvia Reid for Stag Furniture as part of their much sought after 'Cumberland' 'C' range.
– Excellent restored condition
A clean, modernist aesthetic that still feels contemporary to this day, way ahead of its time!
The dressing table features two floating pedestals with three large drawers in each with a concealed mirror which can be flipped up when needed.
The pedestals are joined by a black melamine-topped surface which houses the mirror.
Originally designed as part of a modular bedroom system intended for young forward thinking homes in the 1950s, the 'C' range was finished in either oak or Australian walnut (this piece being in oak).
Excellent restored condition, the piece has been sympathetically restored keeping its beautiful original patina. There are some minor polished marks as to be expected for its age, please take a look at the photographs for more detail.
Height: 74cm (pedestals) 70cm (central piece)
Width between pedestals: 46cm
Height from floor to underside of central drawer: 56cm
Drawer Widths: 30cm
A lovely dressing table that would bring a touch of classic mid century style to any interior space.
