Featuring distinctive curved back rest and seat pad with solid teak frame and striking bentwood armrests. We have given the chair a very unique look by upholstering the back rest and seat pad in traditional African Mudcloth, handmade in Malia using a cotton fabric dyed and painted with fermented mud.
The chair is in excellent restored original condition, there may some minor marks as to be expected for its age. The traditional weaving methods used to create mudcloth textiles make the chair completely unique. Knots and twists in the textiles are a mark of the handmade nature of the product and are not considered imperfections. Please take a look at the photographs for more detail.
