X4 Vintage Arkana Black Swivel Chairs

A striking set of four swivel chairs in the rare black colour designed by Maurice Burke for Arkana in the 1960s. The design is heavily influenced by the work of Eero Sarinen.
The chairs have a very distinct shape with beautiful sweeping curves and an iconic four-legged propeller shaped base.
The seats are constructed from fibreglass and the pedestal bases from enamel coated aluminum.
The seat pads have been newly upholstered using a gorgeous grey wool tweed, all foam, wadding and fabric meet current fire regulations.
The chairs are in excellent condition having been thoroughly cleaned, there are some minor light marks and scratches as to be expected for their age, please take a look at the photographs for more detail. A couple of the original fixings have been replaced over time (shown in 12)
