Vintage Rustic Painted Shop Chest of Drawers Sideboard 2310g
Tax included
A wonderfully characterful vintage chest of drawers, originally used as a shop fitting, featuring beautifully timeworn pale blue paintwork, a richly aged timber top and six generously proportioned drawers with original brass shell handles.
The heavily distressed paintwork has faded naturally over the years, revealing glimpses of timber beneath and creating a lovely patchwork of colour, scuffs and marks. The substantial timber top has developed a beautiful warm, mellow finish, with attractive grain and an abundance of authentic vintage character.
All six drawers feature traditional dovetail joints, providing plenty of practical storage, while the simple, substantial design gives the piece a wonderfully rustic, utilitarian feel.
– Beautifully Preserved Vintage Condition –
Carefully cleaned and sympathetically restored in our workshop, the original distressed paintwork has been left untouched, preserving its wonderful aged character. The timber top has been oiled and waxed, while all six drawers have been checked and drawer stops repaired where necessary. A new back and timber plinth have also been fitted.
Presented in lovely vintage condition, with the marks, scratches, worn paint and imperfections you would expect from a genuine former shop fitting. Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description.
Incredibly versatile, this fabulous chest would make a wonderful addition to a living room, bedroom, hallway or home office, combining generous storage with distinctive vintage charm.

Our restoration process
Preparation
We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
Restoration
With over 20 years of experience, we know that the right restoration techniques can make all the difference. It’s a delicate process that takes patience, skill and attention to detail — one we’ve taken the time to perfect. Each piece is carefully and sensitively restored, preserving its original character and charm while giving it a new lease of life.
Finishing
Finally, we add the finishing touches — whether that’s painting, oiling or sealing, fitting new handles, hinges or catches, or simply giving the piece a final clean and polish. We make sure every piece is ready for modern living, giving it a new lease of life and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to be loved for generations to come.
Before and after
Each piece is carefully and sympathetically restored to preserve the character, charm and beautiful details that make it unique. The result is a truly individual piece of furniture, thoughtfully restored for
modern living and ready to bring warmth, personality and timeless style to your home for years to come.
