A fabulous vintage double-sided oak library book trolley, believed to date from the 1970s/80s, featuring three tiers of angled shelving on either side, a wonderfully warm golden oak finish and four swivel castors.
Originally designed for use in a library or educational setting, this beautifully made piece combines practical storage with a distinctive, architectural design. The six generously proportioned shelves provide plenty of room for displaying books, with the angled arrangement making them particularly easy to browse and access from either side.
Constructed predominantly from oak, the trolley features beautifully shaped and rounded shelf ends, exposed timber plugs and a substantial central support. The warm golden colour of the oak and lovely natural grain give it a particularly appealing appearance.
– Beautifully Restored Condition –
Carefully restored in our workshop and presented in excellent condition, with the oak displaying a lovely warm, mellow colour and beautiful natural grain throughout. The trolley retains its practical swivel castors, making it easy to move around, with just a few minor polished-in marks and gentle signs of age remaining, all part of its authentic vintage character. Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description and show the condition and character in greater detail.
Incredibly versatile, this unusual piece would make a wonderful addition to a living room, home office, playroom or children's bedroom. Equally suited to a shop or studio, where it would make a fabulous freestanding display for books, magazines or other collections.
