Vintage Ladderax Modular Shelving Unit
Sold Out
Two bays of Ladderax modular shelving & storage designed by Robert Heal in 1964 for Staples of Cricklewood, London.
–Superb restored condition
The Ladderax System consists of a number of upright ladders, supporting shelves and cabinets. These are fixed by resting on steel support rods, hooked on to the rungs of the ladders. They fit into grooves under the shelves and cabinets. This allows easily assembly and flexibility. Ladderax does not require any permanent fixing to a wall because it self-supports, there are holes in the metal ladders if you would like to fix to the wall (recommended if you have children around)This system consists of:
X1 Three Drawer base unit
X2 Sliding door cabinet with glass shelf
X3 Standard Shelves
X1 Narrow Shelf
X4 Teak Ladders (giving the option to separate into two individual bays)
X14 Metal hook supports rods
This is a real piece of mid-century modern design at its very best with clear influence from the 'Danish School' of design.
