A fabulous vintage teak chest of drawers by G Plan, from their highly sought-after Quadrille range, dating from the 1960s. With its beautifully proportioned, long and low design, warm teak tones and distinctive sculptural base, this is a particularly stylish example of British mid-century furniture.
Featuring six generously sized drawers, arranged in two rows, with four smaller drawers at either end and two wider drawers in the centre. Each retains its original shaped wooden handle, adding a lovely decorative detail to the otherwise clean, understated design. The chest sits on the iconic Quadrille base, with its beautifully shaped open-frame legs and gently curved corners, giving the piece a wonderfully light and elegant appearance.
– Beautifully Restored Condition –
Carefully restored in our workshop and presented in excellent condition, with the teak displaying a gorgeous warm, mellow colour and beautiful natural grain throughout. All six drawers run smoothly, with just a few minor polished-in marks and gentle signs of age remaining, all part of its authentic vintage character. The piece also retains its original E Gomme G Plan maker's stamp. Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description and show the condition and character in greater detail.
Incredibly versatile, this piece would make a wonderful addition to a bedroom, providing plenty of practical storage, but its long, low proportions also make it equally suited to use as a stylish sideboard in a living room, dining room or hallway. A timeless piece of British mid-century design that looks just as fabulous in contemporary interiors as it would have done when first made.

Our restoration process
Preparation
We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
Restoration
With over 20 years of experience, we know that the right restoration techniques can make all the difference. It’s a delicate process that takes patience, skill and attention to detail — one we’ve taken the time to perfect. Each piece is carefully and sensitively restored, preserving its original character and charm while giving it a new lease of life.
Finishing
Finally, we add the finishing touches — whether that’s painting, oiling or sealing, fitting new handles, hinges or catches, or simply giving the piece a final clean and polish. We make sure every piece is ready for modern living, giving it a new lease of life and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to be loved for generations to come.
Before and after
Each piece is carefully and sympathetically restored to preserve the character, charm and beautiful details that make it unique. The result is a truly individual piece of furniture, thoughtfully restored for
