A beautifully proportioned vintage Art Deco-style armchair, believed to date from the 1930s–1950s, combining an elegant dark timber frame with newly upholstered natural-coloured fabric.
The chair has a wonderfully distinctive design, featuring striking double-rail wooden arms, a gently reclining back with a beautifully rounded scroll top and elegant tapered legs. The clean, architectural lines of the frame contrast beautifully with the softer upholstered elements, giving the chair a timeless appearance.
Professionally reupholstered in a lovely natural, linen-look fabric, with neatly tailored piping and a generously padded seat, the chair has a fresh, contemporary feel while retaining all the charm of its original design. The beautifully upholstered scroll back is particularly appealing, with decorative upholstery studs to the reverse.
– Excellent Restored Condition –
Carefully restored in our workshop and professionally reupholstered, this lovely chair is presented in excellent restored condition. The dark timber frame has been sympathetically refinished, retaining its rich colour and attractive vintage character, with just a few minor polished-in marks, scuffs and gentle signs of age remaining.
The new upholstery presents beautifully, with a lovely natural texture and neatly finished detailing throughout. Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description and show the condition and character in greater detail.
A wonderfully versatile chair that would look fabulous in a living room, bedroom, hallway or cosy reading corner. Its elegant proportions and understated upholstery make it particularly easy to incorporate into both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Our restoration process
Preparation
We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
Restoration
With over 20 years of experience, we know that the right restoration techniques can make all the difference. It’s a delicate process that takes patience, skill and attention to detail — one we’ve taken the time to perfect. Each piece is carefully and sensitively restored, preserving its original character and charm while giving it a new lease of life.
Finishing
Finally, we add the finishing touches — whether that’s painting, oiling or sealing, fitting new handles, hinges or catches, or simply giving the piece a final clean and polish. We make sure every piece is ready for modern living, giving it a new lease of life and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to be loved for generations to come.
Before and after
Each piece is carefully and sympathetically restored to preserve the character, charm and beautiful details that make it unique. The result is a truly individual piece of furniture, thoughtfully restored for
modern living and ready to bring warmth, personality and timeless style to your home for years to come.
