Produced during the post-war period, the Model 120 is a particularly interesting example of Ercol's evolving furniture designs, combining the more traditional styling of its earlier pieces with the lighter, sculptural forms that would become synonymous with the iconic Windsor range.
The beautifully shaped and panelled cupboard doors feature unusual decorative timber inserts, together with distinctive elongated wooden handles and a central catch. Below, the elegant turned legs and stretchers give the piece a wonderfully balanced appearance.
Behind the doors, the cupboard offers generous and practical storage, with two useful upper drawers, including a removable compartmented tray, and shelving beneath.
The combination of beautifully figured elm, warm beech and unusual decorative detailing makes this a particularly charming example of early Ercol craftsmanship.
– Lovely Sympathetically Restored Condition –
Carefully and sympathetically restored in our workshop, this beautiful sideboard retains much of its original vintage character, with a wonderfully warm, mellow colour and stunning natural grain throughout.
There are some gentle marks, scuffs and signs of age and use remaining, which we have deliberately retained as part of the piece's history and charm. Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description and show the condition and character in greater detail.
A fabulous and highly versatile piece, equally suited to a dining room, living room or hallway, offering both practical storage and a wonderful example of early British furniture design.

Our restoration process
Preparation
We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
Restoration
With over 20 years of experience, we know that the right restoration techniques can make all the difference. It’s a delicate process that takes patience, skill and attention to detail — one we’ve taken the time to perfect. Each piece is carefully and sensitively restored, preserving its original character and charm while giving it a new lease of life.
Finishing
Finally, we add the finishing touches — whether that’s painting, oiling or sealing, fitting new handles, hinges or catches, or simply giving the piece a final clean and polish. We make sure every piece is ready for modern living, giving it a new lease of life and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to be loved for generations to come.
Before and after
Each piece is carefully and sympathetically restored to preserve the character, charm and beautiful details that make it unique. The result is a truly individual piece of furniture, thoughtfully restored for
modern living and ready to bring warmth, personality and timeless style to your home for years to come.
