Mid Century Stag Oak Dressing Table / Desk
Sold Out
A very stylish and scarcely seen 1950's modernist dressing table designed by architect couple John & Sylvia Reid for Stag Furniture as part of their much sought after 'Cumberland' 'C' range.
ā Excellent restored condition
A clean, modernist aesthetic that still feels contemporary to this day, way ahead of its time!
The dressing table features two floating pedestals with three large drawers in each and full width, removable mirror.
The pedestals are joined by a black melamine-topped surface which houses a central drawer.
Originally designed as part of a modular bedroom system intended for young forward thinking homes in the 1950s, the 'C' range was finished in either oak or Australian walnut (this piece being in oak).
Item works equally well as a dressing table or laptop desk (the mirror is easily removable).
Excellent restored condition, the piece has been sympathetically restored keeping its beautiful original patina. There are some minor polished marks as to be expected for its age, please take a look at the photographs for more detail.
