A rare and beautifully proportioned mid-century sideboard by British furniture maker Meredew, combining clean, understated design with excellent craftsmanship and wonderfully compact proportions.
Crafted in teak with contrasting solid Afromosia details, the sideboard has some particularly lovely design features. A raised gallery edge runs around the top, while subtle routed detailing across the doors adds texture and interest to the otherwise simple façade. The Afromosia drawer fronts and sculpted pulls contrast beautifully with the warm teak and give the piece its distinctive mid-century character.
Despite its relatively compact footprint, there’s an impressive amount of useful storage. Two generous drawers sit above twin cupboard doors to the left and a single cupboard to the right, with a removable and adjustable shelf allowing the interior to be configured to suit. Its size makes it a particularly versatile choice for smaller living and dining spaces where storage is needed without the proportions of a traditional long sideboard.

Carefully restored in our workshop and presented in excellent condition, the timber has been sympathetically refinished to enhance its rich colour and beautiful grain while retaining the character of the original piece. There may be a few minor polished-in marks and gentle signs of age, as expected with genuine vintage furniture.
