A beautifully designed vintage teak 'Dunfermline' sideboard designed by Tom Robertson and made by renowned Scottish furniture manufacturer A.H. McIntosh & Co Ltd, dating from the 1960s and combining wonderfully elegant mid-century styling with exceptional storage and practicality.

The sideboard has a particularly striking design, featuring beautifully sculpted legs which flow seamlessly into the lower frame, giving the piece a wonderfully light and elegant appearance despite its generous proportions. The rich, warm teak has a lovely depth of colour and attractive grain throughout, complemented by the distinctive sculpted drawer handles and circular recessed cupboard pulls.

To the left are three generously proportioned drawers, the uppermost retaining its original red-lined cutlery compartments and dividers. The central double cupboard opens to reveal a spacious interior with a shaped shelf, offering plenty of useful storage for crockery, glassware and other household essentials.

To the right is a particularly appealing drinks cupboard, featuring a drop-down door and a pull-out serving shelf with a contrasting black surface. A wonderfully practical and characterful detail, perfect for creating a stylish little home bar.

The sideboard retains its original A.H. McIntosh manufacturer's label, confirming its Scottish heritage. With its beautiful proportions, thoughtful design and wonderfully distinctive detailing, this is a fabulous example of British mid-century furniture.

– Excellent Restored Condition

This beautiful sideboard is presented in excellent restored condition. The teak has been sympathetically refinished, bringing out its wonderfully rich, warm colour and attractive natural grain while retaining the character of the original piece.

All cupboards and drawers are clean and present well, with the original red-lined cutlery compartments and drinks cupboard features retained. There are just a few minor polished-in marks and gentle signs of age remaining, entirely in keeping with its vintage character.

Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description and show the condition, finish and beautiful detailing of the piece in greater detail.

A wonderfully versatile piece of furniture, this fabulous sideboard would make a stunning addition to a living room or dining room, offering generous storage alongside its timeless mid-century appeal. Equally at home in a contemporary or vintage-inspired interior, it is a beautiful combination of elegant design and everyday practicality.
