A beautifully restored vintage 'model 459' Ercol coffee table, believed to date from the 1960s/70s, featuring a wonderfully figured solid elm top with softly rounded corners, elegantly splayed legs and a practical spindle magazine shelf beneath.

The beautifully grained elm top is a real highlight, displaying gorgeous swirling patterns, natural knots and rich variations in tone. The warm, golden finish complements the table's simple, timeless design, while the slender tapered legs and traditional spindle shelf give it that unmistakable Ercol character.

– Beautifully Restored Condition –

Carefully and sympathetically restored in our workshop, this lovely table is presented in excellent condition. The timber has been refinished to bring out its beautiful natural colour and grain, while retaining all the warmth and character of a genuine vintage piece. A few minor polished-in marks and gentle signs of its previous life may remain, all part of its authentic vintage charm.

Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description and show the condition and beautiful timber grain in greater detail.

A wonderfully versatile piece, equally at home in a contemporary or traditional interior. Its generous tabletop provides plenty of space for books, ceramics and everyday essentials, while the spindle shelf beneath offers useful additional storage without compromising its elegant, airy design.

Preparation

We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
