Model 392 junior stacking chair designed by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in the 1950s.

-Excellent restored condition

The chairs are constructed from solid English Elm and Beech. Stunning grain to the seats, the legs and backs are constructed from solid Beech which contrasts beautifully with the Elm. The splayed tapered legs on these chairs allow them to stack vertically when not in use, combining versatility and style.

A striking feature of this chair is the classic Windsor wedge joint, where the leg of the chair goes right through the seat; a wedge is then inserted into a cut in the leg, forming a remarkably strong joint.  Sanded off flush with the seat, the joint then provides a beautiful design element.

Some of chairs still have remains of the original blue labels present dating them to the late 1950s – 1960s.

These chairs look great in a childs room alongside a desk or just in a corner with a cushion to add some vintage character to the room.

As with all Ercol furniture the build quality and materials used are second to none.

Dimensions:
Width: 39cm
Depth: 45cm
Total Height: 70cm
Height to seat: 39cm

The chairs are in excellent restored condition there may be some minor marks as to be expected for its age. Please take a look at the photographs for more detail.

A very desirable chair that would make a great addition to any vintage/mid-century inspired interior.

Preparation

We carefully assess every piece, identifying any damage, repairs or replacement parts it may need. Drawers may need new runners, handles can be missing or damaged, and joints may require repair or reinforcement. We look beyond the surface to uncover hidden defects, ensuring each piece is restored to work as it was originally intended.
